Supporting our local communities
We support the development of social impact investment, manage charity investments and support our communities by helping disadvantaged young people develop the skills they need to fulfil their potential.
By partnering with high-performing and innovative charities and not-for-profit organisations globally, we have demonstrated our commitment to a diverse number of philanthropic initiatives. We provide a wide range of programmes to support our employees’ charitable efforts, from volunteering to mentoring young adults in financial skills.
In 2012, Barclays Group launched its 'Citizenship' agenda with one of the pillars being 'Community Investment'. The Community Investment agenda was defined as focusing on empowering the next generation with skills to achieve economic independence and security.
Our partnerships with 'Children & Future' and 'Mission Enfance' reflects our engagement within the community in Monaco. We support two key initiatives which are 'Skills for All' and 'No Finish Line'. Through the first of these initiatives we intend to support young adults in need by providing IT skills through training workshops and materials.
Through the No Finish Line, our aim is to make staff part of a charitable race where every kilometre completed over a 1,600 metre circuit, 1 euro will be donated to the Children & Future Association, of which Princess Stephanie of Monaco is one of the sponsors.
